✨ A big step for me was becoming a freelance social media manager ✨
In 2020, I moved from Jakarta to Bali, leaving behind a high-paying corporate job, good friends and family.
At first I tried working as an executive assistant, but I’ve had done this for most of my life that it wasn’t quite right for me anymore. So I said to myself, “why not decided to go all in with freelancing?” Plus I’ve had other online works experience and I saw some opportunities that time.
So many years before moving to Bali, I’ve started my freelancing journey by writing blog posts and articles on Fiverr and Upwork.
I then learned a lot by creating content for my own travel blog and YouTube channel.
I taught myself copywriting, photo and video editing, and how social media works.
And until now, I keep my skills up to date by taking digital marketing courses and other online courses.
I enjoy learning new things and being a social media manager allows me to do it when keeping up with trends and working on different projects.
I feel like I was made for it!
And when my full time assistant job didn’t work out, I managed to get some VA gigs even it was pandemic.
Then a former boss put me in touch with someone who needed a social media manager. I can’t thank her enough for opening my freelance door in Bali.
Then my clients and friends introduce me to their friends who need the services.
That’s when everything took off and I’m incredibly grateful for the amazing opportunities I’ve found in this Island of God.
Bali has always been my number one destination for holiday.
Being able to live here and do what I love is like a dream come true!
